According to an article in the NY Observer on January 29, 2008 22 buildings on West 109th Street between Broadway and Columbus Avenue are up for sale by current owner The Pinnacle Group. It is reported that Pinnacle "...sent out some 5,000 eviction notices in the previous two years."
Tenants in these buildings and others should know their tenant rights if served with an eviction notice or offered payment to move. See Strycker's Bay's website www.stryckersbay.org
